The Preservation Area is bounded by Great Austins to the North, the junction of Bourne Grove and Tilford Road to the South, Swingate Road and Vicarage Hill to the West and Tilford Road to the East, as illustrated in outline on the map below.
Much of the area is also a Conservation Area and has earned Conservation status as it is an 'area of special architectural and historic interest the character and appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance'.
Conservation status does limit changes that any resident is able to make to the fabric of individual properties in the area.
